A Note from Miss Wiggins
This week is turning out to be more eventful than any of us wished. Hurricane Florence is making her way to the east coast. The Diocese will make a decision on our school schedule in the very near future. In the meantime, St. Peter’s will continue with its normal routine.
Tonight, we will have our first PTO meeting at 5:30 pm. I hope that I will see some of you there. I want to thank those of you who sold chocolate bars for the PTO. Your hard work and dedication make a difference to our school.
In Class this Week:
Reading – Theme: School – When reading books go over the following: front cover, back cover, title (the name of the book), author (the person who wrote the book), and illustrator (the person who drew the pictures). Also, ask your child to make connections with the story and characters. How is his/her life like the story?
Math – We will classify/sort objects by size, shape, and color.
Science/S.S. – Unit: How Do We Learn? – Students will begin to measure objects with nonstandard units/tools.
Religion – Noah’s Ark
