1/14/19-1/17/19

Many children have been out sick.  Type A Flu has been confirmed in our class.  Please make sure to let us know if your child gets the flu.

We still do not have a date for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, but I will let you know as soon as I know.  It will probably be the first week of February.  Nevertheless, the books are due to me completed by January 16th.    If they are already completed, you may turn them in at any time.  Please practice with your children at home.

Second grade will be taking MAP tests this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (and if necessary on Friday); therefore, we will NOT have a Spelling Test this week.   For the next few weeks (until Feb. 1st),  I will continue to individually test the students with the Fountas and Pinnel Reading Level Tests.  I will send home the reports when I have completed all the testing.  So far, they are all doing very well.  They have been growing in Reading in leaps and bounds.  Thank you for reading with your children at home; it makes a huge difference!
