Week of December 4 – 8 Newsletter

Dear K5 Parents, 

I would like to thank each of you for welcoming me to St. Peter’s with open arms! My first week with K5 was without a doubt a week to remember! 

I appreciate all the support that each of you have put forth in ensuring your child receives the education they deserve. I look forward to continuing to fuel your child’s love for learning!

Word of the week: Hope

Week 1 of Advent: Jesus: The Gift of Hope.

St. Nicholas: The man behind the story of Santa Claus (St. Nicholas Day: December 6)

Language and Literacy: 

Word Families: For example, the “at” word family includes bat, cat, hat, and so on.  

Vowels: a, e, i, o, u

Guided Reading Groups: Working on oral language, vocabulary development, and phonemic awareness

Mathematics: All about numbers 21- 40

Reminders:

  • Wednesday, December 6: Mass at 8:30am (Mass Uniforms)
  • Thursday, December 7: K5 will be attending the Strength and Movement Parent Presentation at 12:45pm in Neglia Hall
  • Friday, December 8: Field Trip to Koger Center to see  “Twas the Night before Christmas” *Please be at school by 8:00am
  • Cubby space is getting crowded! Please send your child with a small blanket for nap time, and if they do bring a stuffed animal from home, please make sure it is a smaller one.
