A Note From Mrs. Ronald

Welcome to the first full week of school! We had a great time last week getting to know each other. Please remember to look for information about the school in this week’s Tuesday Folder, and I’m looking forward to seeing you all at Back to School Night on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. The evening starts at 6:30pm in Neglia Hall. Our first school Mass will be this Wednesday, August 29, 2018. Please make certain that your child wears his or her Mass uniform!

This Week in Class

This week we celebrate the feast days of St. Monica and St. Augustine of Hippo. Students will explore virtues and what the Bible says about each. We will also begin our study of Catholic social justice and what that means to each of us.

We will be exploring the various traits and motivations of characters from our summer reading “The Cricket in Times Square.” Students will also discuss the causes and effects of different events in the novel as well as comparing characters and events to one another. Our first novel for the year will be The One and Only Ivan. Please have a copy no later than Tuesday, September 4, 2018.

spelling test on Friday, August 31, 2018.
