Friends and Family of St. Peter’s Catholic School,
I am delighted that we are just a few short weeks away from welcoming our students back to school for the 2019-2020 academic year! At St. Peter’s, we are passionate about Catholic education and look forward to partnering with you as we continue to provide our students with an engaging, rigorous, and high-quality faith-based education. Parents are every child’s first teacher and by working together, we can ensure that your child’s spiritual, social, emotional, and academic needs are met. As we prepare for the upcoming year, I welcome you to engage with us in this unique partnership.
I would also like to (finally!) inform you all of the happy news of my pregnancy! My first child is due October 23, 2019. I will consequently be going on maternity leave around that time. Barring any complications, I plan to return to St. Peter’s Catholic School on Monday, January 6, 2020 after the Christmas holiday.
In my absence, Mrs. Katie Labelle, Intervention Specialist, and Mrs. Rachel Grant, sixth-grade teacher, will be taking over administrative duties. Mrs. Katie Labelle is a certified Elementary and Special Education teacher. Mrs. Labelle is currently enrolled in the Diocese of Charleston’s Catholic School Leadership Program. Mrs. Rachel Grant is also a certified Elementary teacher with a M.S. in Higher Education. Mrs. Grant successfully completed the Diocese of Charleston’s Catholic School Leadership Program during the 2018-2019 academic year. I feel confident that, together, Mrs. Labelle and Mrs. Grant will be a good fit for the needs of our students and school community.
If you have any immediate questions, comments
or concerns during my leave, please feel free to contact the front office by
phone at (803) 252-8285 or email Mrs. Katie Labelle at KLabelle@StPetersCatholicSchool.Org or Mrs.
Rachel Grant at RGrant@StPetersCatholicSchool.Org.
Our New Parent Orientation is Thursday, August 8th. Please save the date. St. Peter’s Catholic School once again welcomes Mrs. Anna Scott Seals, our new first grade teacher, and Ms. Erica Rovelli, our new kindergarten (K5) teacher! We are delighted to have them on our team. All St. Peter’s Catholic School families are welcome to attend.
We recognize the sacrifices you and your families make to send your children to St. Peter’s Catholic School. The faith-based education you have chosen provides an atmosphere warmed by the powerful presence of our loving and faithful God. I urge you to support our school through your prayers and cooperation. The close ties between family and school reinforce moral values and nurture our faith tradition.
May God Bless you!
Mrs. Aubrey Wall
