A Note from Miss Geene

Thank you to all the parents who showed up last week to the Awards Ceremony after Mass on Wednesday. I hope you all enjoyed the wonderful letters your student wrote to you about their Catholic School education that they took home last Tuesday. They learned a lot last week about the history of St. Peter’s!

Please remember to check the list for your child’s week to be our Snack Shack managers. Snack Shack has been going well and the students are having a great time selling the snacks and seeing the results of their hard work on the financial report! This week our Snack Shack managers are Wyatt Merland and Alex Treja-Ramos. Parents remember we still have plenty of snacks already so do not spend more than $10-$15 on snacks. Thank you for supporting the sixth grade in their business endeavor.

Below is a list of the students who are on Honor Guard this week. If your student is participating, they must stay until the end. Please do not pick them up during car line unless I have been given a note. Thank you for your support!

Monday: “The Church asks you to go, in the power of the Holy Spirit, to those who are near and those who are far away. Share with them the freedom you have found in Christ. People thirst for genuine inner freedom. They yearn for the Life which Christ came to give in abundance….In your hands, carry the Cross of Christ. On your lips, the words of Life. In your hearts, the saving grace of the Lord” ~ Pope John Paul II

Tuesday: “Only in Christ can men and women find answers to the ultimate questions that trouble them. Only in Christ can they fully understand their dignity as persons created and loved by God. Jesus Christ is “the only Son from the Father…full of grace and truth.” ~ Pope John Paul II

Wednesday: “A person’s rightful due is to be treated as an object of love, not as an object for use.” ~ Pope John Paul II

Thursday: “Learn to think rigorously, so as to act rightly and to serve humanity better.” ~ Pope John Paul II

Friday: “”I simply wish to note that the figure of Mary of Nazareth sheds light on womanhood as such by the very fact that God in the sublime event of the Incarnation of his Son, entrusted Himself to the ministry, the free and active ministry of a woman.” ~ Pope John Paul II
