Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope everyone enjoyed their break and was able to take some quality family time. These past few days just flew by. But, as we begin our new calendar year I would like to share a New Year’s prayer with you.
Bless this year with love and light.
Bless this year with faith and sight.
Bless this year with grace and ease.
Bless this year with joy and peace.
These next few days back, the class will finish our unit on the Christmas season discussing the 12 days of Christmas leading up to the Epiphany. We will continue our multiplication unit, with practice in our math groups. In language, we will write about what we would like to see and resolutions for the new year as well as work on our plural nouns. We will begin our new science and social studies units on Monday. We will have a PE class on Thursday conducted by me and hopefully, weather permitting, on the playground. On Friday, we will have library and technology, so if you have any outstanding library books, please be sure to bring them. We will ease back into our classroom routine this week and hit the ground running on Monday.
