Dear Parents,

It is officially October and I am very excited for all the wonderful activities and events we have planned this month! It will be a month full of great learning activities, lessons, and festivities to welcome in the autumn season.

This week in class, we will be continuing to study rhyming words, our sight words, and the long vowel of “I” in ELA. In math, we will be reviewing past 2-D shapes and continuing to introduce new 3-D shapes such as cubes and spheres. In science, we will be finishing up our lessons on the five senses and ending the week with an assessment to test their knowledge of these lessons. In Social Studies, we are learning more about being a good citizen and student.

This week on Thursday, we will be having the Pet Blessing at 2:30pm. If students are unable to bring their pet to the event, then they may also bring a picture of their pet. It is requested that no snakes are brought to the event. Any other rodents or reptiles are requested to be kept in a cage.

Let’s have another great week of school!

Have a wonderful and blessed week,

Ms. Rovelli
