Dear Parents,

It is already near the end of October and time is flying fast for the K-5 classroom! I hope everyone had a wonderful time enjoying the movie night last Friday! This week, we will be having our PTO Halloween party after school on Friday October 25th. Please join us for lots of fun, costumes, and games!

This week in ELA, we will be continuing to learn about our vowels and cement in the idea of long and short vowels. I have seen great progress in these lessons! In Math, we will be practicing our counting and learning more about the positions of beside, between, above, below, and inside and outside. In Science, we will be learning about the season of winter and beginning our lessons on the season of spring starting next week. In Social Studies, we will be learning more about our community helpers this week such as a police officer and firefighters.

As a reminder today (October 22), parents will be able to sign up for conferences that will be held on November 1st. Parents need to come to the office and sign up for conferences. Also, please have students come with an afternoon snack each day. If possible, label which snacks are meant to be eaten after the students wake up from nap time. Thank you very much!

Have a wonderful and blessed week,

Ms. Rovelli
