Dear Parents,
We have entered into the last week of October, and with it, the end of our first quarter! I look forward to meeting all parents this Friday for parent/teacher conferences. If you have not done so yet, the sign-up sheet for conferences is in the front office. If you need to schedule a time outside of this day, please let me know and I will happy to set up a time.
This week, we will be continuing to learn our short and long vowels in ELA. I have seen a lot of progress and we will continue to work hard on differentiating between the two. In Science, we will be reviewing our lessons on the seasons of fall and winter, as well introducing spring. In Math, we will be having lessons that will practice both counting and creating graphs. In Social Studies, we are continuing our lessons on community helpers. This week we will be focusing on teachers, doctors, and nurses.
This Thursday, I will be throwing a mini-Halloween party for our students. While we can’t wear costumes, we will still have some fun activities and snacks to celebrate the holiday. Also, starting on November 4th, students will need to switch over to their winter uniform. Shorts will no longer be worn at school and if a student is wearing a skirt or dress, they must also wear leggings. It would be very much appreciated if students have a sweater or jacket brought to school.
Let’s have another great week of school!
Have a wonderful and blessed week,
Ms. Rovelli
