A Note From Mrs. Phillips
The year is winding down! Only 19 more school days to learn and we have lots to cover. May is filled with many things, but I can assure you, our class will keep on learning through the very last day. So hang on!
Happy Mother’s Day to all our amazing moms out there! I hope you enjoy your day. You all deserve to be spoiled!
In class this week…
Religion: In religion this week, we will discuss the ascension and how Jesus went to heaven. We will discuss how we all can get to heaven. The May Crowning and rosary will be Tuesday.
Reading: The class will continue with writing poems in our journals. They have enjoyed this very much! We will also continue to work on reading non-fiction text and taking notes.
Language Arts: The students will work on (adjective) articles this week. Spelling words will be given on Monday and students will test on Friday.
Math: The class will finish fractions this week and test on Wednesday. We will begin geometry by discussing lines.
Science: In science the students will continue work on habitats and what creates them.
Social Studies: The students will continue settlers this week. We will learn all about how South Carolina became a more civilized state and our towns were created.

Monday, May 14th- 2:00 dismissal; Catholic Schools Music Concert at Cardinal Newman 6:00pm
Tuesday, May 15th- Music practice for our concert- off site at USC Band Hall
Thursday, May 17th- Spring Music Program 7:00pm USC Band Hall
Friday, May 25th- FIELD DAY!!!!
Sunday, May 27th- 11am mass for Mrs. Preston
Monday, May 28th- NO SCHOOL
Wednesday, May 30th- 6th Grade Graduation
Thursday, May 31st- K5 Graduation
Friday, June 1st- 11:30 dismissal- LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!
