A Note From Mrs. Marsha
Happy Fall! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend with families. As our lives become increasingly hectic it becomes difficult to slow our minds, body, and heart down and give thanks to God for the many blessings in our lives. This is something that we have been practicing in First Grade with Christian Meditation. The kids and I embrace our spiritual growth just like our academic growth!
Just a side note- the spelling list that I send home on Monday stays at home. Please practice nightly with your child. Also, practice math facts with your child; doubles, doubles +1, addition patterns, etc.. I think flashcards are always a good tool to help with memorization. If your child begins practicing math facts now, this will only help him/her when we begin two digit addition.
