What People Say

In small classes, shy children gain an increased sense of security and confidence.   The central location gives students many cultural opportunities–field trips, classes with the Columbia Conservatory of Dance, the  music program offered with USC.  What other school offers these opportunities?

The student body really reflects the diversity–not only of Columbia–but our entire country.  Where else can you see the beauty of our country, all in one small, close-knit community? Plus, it’s a really safe and loving environment for students as well as their families.

I love the focus on different muscles (in the new Physical and Emotional Health Program).  They (Dr. Brown and Mr. Cowan) have a lot of experience.  They’re very professional!

St. Peter’s is a place where parents, teachers and students all know and have respect for each other.  The loving, faith-filled environment prepares our students to know, love, and serve God and others.

As the mother of six children, I’ve not experienced another school–public or private–that comes close to what St. Peter’s offers its students and parents.  Lilly has caught up in subjects she was behind in.  She’s been tutored by a topnotch Director of Education, and has gained  confidence in her abilities.  The teaching and administrative staff are tops–with Christian values at the center of all they do.   A parent could not ask for more!

My children are knowledgeable, respectful, loving and faithful due in large part to St. Peter’s School.  The generosity St. Peter’s has shown to us is a shining example of faith in practice for all to see.  The Flake Family loves St. Peter’s!

I learned exceptional reading, writing and analytical skills in Catholic school–coupled with the Christian values of honesty, integrity, persistence, and self-discipline.  I am so grateful for the academic and spiritual wealth given to me.  Now it’s my honor and privilege to support Catholic education.  St. Peter’s Catholic School is the place to be, if you want the very best for your child.

I’m amazed by the joy that permeates learning at St. Peter’s Catholic School. The children and teachers always seem so happy and go about their work with enthusiasm and joy. Standards are high, and the curriculum is challenging, but the students are nurtured by a dedicated team of teachers.  A strong sense of family unites not just each class, but the entire school.  Here every child receives the care and the support of the entire school family.  That’s a winning recipe for academic success!

I love St. Peter’s because we are challenged to go above and beyond standards. There’s always a lot of fun, and there’s always a lot of learning. “B+?” our teachers will say, “an okay grade, yes, but you’re all capable of an A-.”

St. Peter’s makes me feel safe with kind teachers and a loving principal. St. Peter’s is the best Catholic school in South Carolina and deserves all the compliments it gets.

Fifth Grader 2Current Student

St. Peter’s is a loving environment in which students, teachers, and even parents have a chance to love Jesus and to grow in our Catholic faith. Another reason that I love St. Peter’s is because the teachers, including Mrs. Preston, are kind, caring and are always here, at St. Peter’s, looking out for me.

St. Peter’s is a great school because the teachers sometimes challenge us by taking us on field trips like Washington, D.C. and Starbase. It strengthens my faith by the whole school going to Mass every Wednesday.
