St. Peter's Catholic School

Driven by a Christian mission for over 170 years.

Since 1852, St. Peter’s Catholic School has been dedicated to academic excellence and forming foundations of faith in a family environment. Our year-round early childhood program serves children ages 2-4, and our elementary school educates students in kindergarten through 6th grade.

Academics

A student-centered approach in a traditional classroom setting.

We make the time and space to see each student as an individual.

Over 90% of our students exceed ELA and Math expectations.

Our curriculum is designed to challenge and intrigue.

We measure students by their progress, not just their test scores.

Foundations In Faith

The lessons of home and worship, continued in the classroom.

Teachings of the Gospel

We start and end each day with prayer... and everything in between is intended to instill in our students the values, morals and lessons of the Gospel.

Catholic Mass

Our students attend Mass each Wednesday morning and on Holy Days of Obligation.

Welcoming to all faiths

St. Peter's is home to students of many faiths and backgrounds – all benefit from the lessons and values of the Gospel.

We love St. Peter's! Our daughter started first grade this year and her academic improvement is remarkable. She has learned so much. This small school family atmosphere is great for her. We highly recommend St. Peter's.

St. Peter's Catholic School provides a wonderful and safe learning environment for my child. The faculty are truly caring, compassionate, and highly skilled educators whose curriculums are tailored to challenge and engage their students. We have had a wholly positive experience with SP and highly recommend it to anyone looking for the same.

Not growing up in Columbia, and having no family in town made picking a school for our daughters a challenging undertaking. However, St. Peter’s has been a truly amazing place where we have seen our girls flourish! St Peter’s is our extended family in town where we know our daughters are loved for who they are. The academics have proven to be outstanding, but knowing they have a place that feels so safe is something money can’t buy!

The environment is very secure, and teachers have a vested interest in your child's education. Teachers are very willing to work with parents individually to help your child succeed. My child... has thrived under the direction of the teachers since starting school here.

My husband and I chose SPCS for our daughter starting in 4K last year. Two weeks had not passed since school started, when our daughter requested to lead the prayer prior to dinner. Needless to say, my heart was filled with joy and my eyes with happy tears. She absolutely loved her friends, and adored her teachers.
